Add ColdFusion instance

This page lets you perform different actions, depending on which button you clicked on the Instance Manager:

 

Add New ColdFusion Instance

 

Area

Description

Server Name

Name of the new JRun server.

Server Directory

Location of the new JRun server. It's best to accept the default.

Create from EAR/WAR

If you created an EAR or WAR file through the J2EE Archives page, you can optionally use that archive file as the basis for the ColdFusion application that is deployed in the new server.

Create Windows Service

Specifies whether the Instance Manager creates a windows service for the new JRun server.

Auto Restart Service

Specifies whether the Instance Manager defines the Windows service with an auto restart recovery option.

 

Register Remote ColdFusion Instance

 

Area

Description

ColdFusion Instance Name

Name of the existing remote JRun server instance.

Remote Host (IP Address or DNS Name)

IP address or fully qualified DNS name of the computer that contains the remote JRun instance.

Remote Port

Port number for the remote JRun server's JNDI port (also called remote port). JRun stores this setting in the SERVER-INF/jndi.properties file.

Description

Internal Web Server Port

Port number for the built-in web server.

Enable JWS (Internal Web Server)

Specifies whether the server instance enables the built-in web server.

Directory Browsing

Specifies whether the built-in web server displays directory information in a browser.
